Most suppliers walk away when a shaft is only 1648mm × 1448mm and the client asks for doors that open on two different sides.
Standard catalog elevators simply can’t do it.
For this recent project in Mexico, the client needed a 90-degree opening (front and side doors) without sacrificing cabin space.
They also wanted a very specific wood-grain finish and a strict security setup.
Because we are a direct manufacturer with our own structural engineers and dedicated elevator cabin designers, we built the entire elevator around their exact needs from scratch.
How We Engineered It: The Backpack Structure
To make the 90-degree doors work in such a tight footprint, our engineers used a custom backpack-style (cantilever) frame.
By moving the guide rails entirely to one side, we:
- Freed up space for adjacent doors
- Maintained the largest possible cabin size within the shaft
Factory-Direct Customization
When doors open on two sides, standard cabin wall panels often look asymmetrical and unbalanced.
Here is how our specialized cabin design team solved this:
Redesigned Panel Layout
Our elevator cabin designers used the client’s architectural drawings to custom-map the stainless steel wall panels.
This ensured the cabin remained visually balanced despite the dual-door configuration.
Textured Wood-Grain Stainless Steel
This is not a vinyl wrap or printed sticker.
We manufactured the doors and panels using:
- Premium stainless steel
- Authentic tactile wood-grain texture
The material was selected directly from our factory’s material library to match the client’s exact design vision.
Comprehensive Security Integration
This project required more than transportation — it required controlled access and monitoring.
We customized both electrical and security systems to match the building’s management workflow.
Multi-Credential Access
We integrated a smart access system into the operating panel.
Passengers must use one of the following:
- IC card
- Fingerprint scan
- PIN code
This ensures controlled and secure elevator operation.
CCTV-Ready Ceiling
The client planned to install a cabin camera.
Instead of requiring on-site modifications, we:
- Pre-installed a dedicated power socket in the cabin ceiling
- Prepared the system during manufacturing
Every detail was anticipated and integrated in advance.
The Technical Specs
- Drive System — Smooth and quiet traction drive
- Control System — Industry-standard Monarch 9000 for high reliability
- Compliance — Fully tested and compliant with local safety standards
Why Work With a True Manufacturer?
If you have a challenging shaft, a trading company will try to sell you a standard product that doesn’t quite fit.
We take a different approach:
- We design the structure around your building
- We engineer solutions based on your exact constraints
Send us your shaft dimensions, and our engineering team will draft a solution that works.
